“Joining the special needs karate class has been an amazingly positive experience for our son Jon. We began this class as a free trial about one year ago and Jon still loves attending. He has been involved in many physical, sporting activities, but this is the first one he has stuck with. I attribute this to the way each Sensei is able to connect with the students in the class. Sensi Cody has an amazing ability to get right to each students' level and make them feel like they can truly accomplish anything they put their minds to. Because of the sensory issues my son has, he refused to wear the gi when he began classes. Sensei Cody was very understanding, he made Jon feel that it was no big deal. Right from the start, that put Jon at ease. It is important to find places and activities that our special needs children can participate in, where they will be accepted for who they are and what they are comfortable with. The Learning Center for Martial Arts has been that place for us. Thanks for providing such great experiences for us!”
